JIYA · TRUST & SAFETY

Age & Child Safety Policy

Jiya is an adult dating service. This policy explains eligibility, the website’s 18+ notice and direct download links, app-level age checks, and how to report a suspected underage account.

Effective / last updated:

1. Adults only

You must be at least 18 years old, and meet any higher minimum age required by the law applicable to you, to use Jiya. Minors may not create an account, use an adult’s account, appear as an adult dating profile or contact adults through the service. Parental permission does not waive the minimum age.

Age eligibility applies throughout use of the service, not only at registration. Users must provide truthful eligibility information and must not help another person evade age restrictions. Adults must not solicit, groom, exploit or arrange sexual or romantic contact with a person they know or reasonably suspect is underage.

2. Website notice and direct download

The website displays an 18+ eligibility notice. Both Get APP buttons directly request the APK download at /download.apk; there is no website age-verification dialogue or age self-declaration step before downloading.

The website does not collect or store an age declaration, birth date, identity document or facial image, and does not keep an age result in session storage. It does not use camera, microphone or location access to determine age. With JavaScript disabled, the direct download links and the full policy text remain available.

A download click is neither an age declaration nor permission for optional advertising tracking. It also does not confirm that an app account is eligible or verified. The 18+ rule applies to use of the service, and app eligibility must be assessed through the app’s actual registration and safety processes.

3. App registration and continued eligibility

Age eligibility is also assessed through the app’s registration and safety processes. Follow the age information and verification instructions presented by the app. The website’s 18+ notice is not a statement that an app account has been verified, and downloading does not create a verified account.

Where age information is inconsistent, a report raises a reasonable concern or a lawful request requires review, the account should be subject to appropriate assessment. Access or relevant features may be restricted while eligibility is reviewed, and an ineligible account may be suspended or removed. Any further information requested must be proportionate to the purpose and handled under the applicable privacy notice.

This notice does not prescribe a particular identity document, biometric system, automated age-estimation model or universal identity badge. Do not send documents to another user or publish them in a profile. If further verification is requested, first verify that the request comes through an official service channel.

4. Signs of a possible underage account

Relevant concerns may include a profile or message stating an age below 18, inconsistent age information, an account apparently operated for a minor, or an attempt to move a minor into private adult contact. A person’s appearance alone is not a reliable age determination; reports should describe concrete facts without harassment, discriminatory assumptions or public accusations.

If you are uncertain, stop the conversation and use the available report and blocking tools. Do not ask another user for identification, pressure them to share private material or try to investigate them outside the service.

5. Report an underage account or child safety risk

Use the app’s available report function or email [email protected] with the subject “Jiya — Underage / Child safety report”. Include the account identifier, relevant profile or message location, an approximate time and a brief factual reason for concern. If you cannot access the account, email remains a contact route.

Do not include unnecessary personal data or reproduce sexual images of a minor. Identify the content or account so the relevant material can be assessed through the service’s records. If there is an immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency or law-enforcement authority; an email report is not an emergency service.

Child safety reports should receive priority assessment. Appropriate measures may include restricting contact or visibility, preserving evidence as lawfully required, verifying eligibility, removing prohibited content, suspending an account or making a legally required report. The action depends on the facts and applicable obligations.

6. Age information and advertising

The website does not collect an age self-declaration or retain an age-session flag. It does not send age or identity information or child safety reports in Meta advertising events. Optional Pixel measurement depends only on your separate, explicit tracking acceptance. Rejecting tracking or making no choice does not prevent direct downloading, and clicking Get APP is not tracking consent.

Report information is used for safety assessment, response, appeal and legal obligations. Share only what is necessary. Privacy and deletion requests can be sent to [email protected]; some safety records may need to be retained for a lawful reason even if an account is removed.

7. Review of an age-related decision

If you believe your own account was restricted because of an age error, contact [email protected] with your member identifier, the decision or case reference if available, and the reason you request review. Use “Jiya — Age decision appeal” as the subject. Provide additional evidence only when requested through an official channel, and do not create replacement accounts to evade a restriction.

An appeal should be assessed against the applicable eligibility rule and relevant evidence. A successful review may correct the decision; an appeal does not suspend protective restrictions automatically. Information about another person or a child safety investigation may be withheld where needed for privacy, safety or law.

8. Relationship to other requirements

This policy works alongside the Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines and Moderation Policy. It does not grant permission to use an ineligible account.

For advertising, Meta separately requires online dating advertisers to obtain its permission and target ads to adults aged 18 and over. A website 18+ notice and download link do not replace those advertiser requirements. See Meta Dating Ads policy. This policy takes effect on 2026-10-29; updates will be dated on this page.
